The Ohno Institute has been conducting
studies on the effects of naturally magnetized water for some time.
Now that you understand how this water works
in your body, read on to learn of actual studies involving Nariwa
with kidney function, Alzheimer's, and intestinal flora. The section
on case studies is especially interesting, for those of us who want
to see the effects of this water with a human touch.
A Review of Studies on Bio-Effect of Naturally
Magnetized Water on Health and Aging Disorders
The Ohno Institute on Water and Health is a non-profit research and education organization, which focuses on studying the interactive effect of bio-magnetism and water on health and aging. Several studies have been conducted, both group and individual, to gather evidence as to the efficacy of naturally magnetized water from a magnetic mountain in Japan, discovered by Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno. These studies have been conducted by practitioners of both conventional and alternative medicine, which have reported measurable improvements of factors related to disease and aging among the subjects studied.
Hundreds of other studies with magnetized water from Russia, China, Japan, and in the U.S. have reported health improvements. The Ohno Institute has several anecdotal reports on file regarding improvements among subjects who have been tested with this water. It is becoming more widely accepted that this water has therapeutic, as well as preventive health benefits.
INTRODUCTION AND RATIONALE FOR STUDIES:
Water, which makes up over 70% of the body's structure, is the most influential and vital component, which provides the body with a mechanism to maintain and restore homeostasis. However, environmental changes have imposed many new pathologic influences, which have overtaxed the body's ability to remain in a state of balance. Among these are toxic drinking water, and soil toxicity and mineral depletion which affect nutritional components in food.
The results can be seen in the rise in incidence of chronic, degenerative diseases, which are not successfully treated by conventional medicine. In fact, this dilemma has been further compounded by the standard procedure of over-administering medications, which present long-term difficulties in the body's ability to maintain its state of balance, or homeostasis.
In order for water to be the medium for the body's ability to maintain its health and vitality, it must enhance, not deter bodily functions. Using the premise that if the body is 70% water, a cell 70% water and DNA 70% water, then the quality, content, structure and frequency of the water in the body must be optimal.
Among the many functions demanded of water in sustaining the health and stability of any living organism is its role as a solvent, catalyst and transporter. Water dissolves 80 different proteins, as well as glucose and electrolytes, and transports them to every cell. Water, which composes most of the blood and bodily fluids, is responsible for activating the process in the body, which allows bacteria to remain stable. Healthy bacteria, along with healthy water promote digestion, absorption and elimination of waste materials.
Another important fact of physiologic function is the role of magnetism in the body in creating and maintaining an energy field. The body flourishes in an electro-chemical environment, which is activated by its response to magnetism. Electromagnetic energy and the human body have a valid and important relationship. Water, which is naturally formed with magnetic properties and reacts with the body's magnetic influence will enhance the way the body maintains a state of balance along with its efficient use of energy.
Living cells are tied together by a matrix of water molecules. Like the atoms that compose them, they are tied together by ionic bonds consisting of positive and negative charges on their outer surfaces. In order for water to form ordered, structural energy bonds around cells, there must be active magnetic influence present. Water molecules lose order when they are not adequately magnetized. Inadequate magnetized molecules will disrupt hydration around them, creating disorganized movement for both the cell and the surrounding water.
Magnetism takes place when electrons orbit around their atoms. The electrons circling around atoms resist attempts to disturb their usual orbits so they can create their own magnetic fields. If neighboring electrons are made to spin so their poles are aligned in the same direction, the cell becomes magnetically-activated. This allows a cell to remain structurally and functionally sound and resist disease.
STUDIES WITH NATURALLY MAGNETIZED WATER
Several clinical studies, as well as longitudinal case studies, have been conducted over the past several years on how this water changes the way the body resists and recovers from health problems. These studies have consistently reported improvements among the test subjects. Findings indicate that study subjects consuming this water over an average of two months of a daily regimen showed an increase in kidney function. Other studies have indicated that naturally magnetized water can stabilize intestinal flora. Improvements have been documented with patients suffering from hypertension, diabetes, asthma, psoriasis, arthritis, colitis, and multiple sclerosis.
Studies have been conducted using dark field microscopy on live blood samples of patients with long-term diseases. After an average of two months of drinking naturally magnetized water daily, changes in blood cell structure and composition were noticeable. These results were correlated with measurements of blood panels.
In 1997, a double-blind study was conducted with middle stage Alzheimer's residents at an assisted living facility on the effect of naturally magnetized water over a 20 week period in delaying memory loss. Significant differences were reported between groups. Subjects were also given pre and post PET scans. Subjects in the Experimental Group who consumed naturally magnetized water showed greater glucose metabolism and blood flow in the brain.
A preliminary investigation, which has recently been completed, found that Attention Deficit Disorder children showed a high correlation with dehydration. A pilot study was conducted, comparing naturally magnetized water with commercial bottled water. The results showed a greater increase in cell hydration with the naturally magnetized water. As a result, a controlled study with a larger population is now underway.
The Ohno Institute on Water and Health is committed to continue its research and welcomes anyone interested in learning more about the efficacy of naturally magnetized water. We appreciate any support available in helping to fund these projects.
A Report of Personal Inventories on Health Status Changes
Resulting from Trials of Naturally Magnetized Water
235 Personal Health Status Inventories were done on persons who volunteered to participate in trials in a daily regimen of .5 liters of Naturally Magnetized Water. The Inventory consisted of questions related to current health status before trials, and questions after study period, regarding changes. The intent was to gather data regarding changes in health and responses to the water, experienced by persons in the study who suffered from a variety of health problems. The design was a single-group comparison, with Subjects acting as their own controls.
No intent is made to make any statements that reflect medical changes, as a result of drinking this water. Responses can be considered subjective, and the data, anecdotal. However, the overwhelming consistency of positive responses and improvements in general health reported, regardless of subjectivity, does warrant attention. These Inventories were conducted with test subjects throughout the U.S., who had no knowledge of responses from others.
